Tina Johnson is the Director of Study Abroad in the Center for International & Professional Experience. Tina joins us from Randolph College, where she received her B.A. in international relations when it was still Randolph-Macon Woman's College. She served there in the administration for fourteen years, most recently as Director of the Experiential Learning Center. She has an M.B.A. from Oklahoma City University and has completed graduate work in the M.A. program offered through the Intercultural Communication Institute in Portland, Oregon. Within the field of education, Tina has focused on developing leadership and cross-cultural communication programs for students. She studied abroad at the University of Reading, England, for an academic year and also spent two years teaching English in the Peace Corps in Russia.
Tina works closely with faculty on Yale Summer Session programs abroad. In addition, Tina advises all students interested in studying abroad, with a special focus on programs located in the U.K. and Russia.
Important Note: Due to the large number of requests for appointments regarding summer study abroad at the London School of Economics and the Pembroke-King’s Programme, students should first attend one of the general information sessions on U.K. summer programs posted on the CIPE calendar of events before scheduling an individual appointment online.
